Your Satellite Earth Station Solution

Experience

Installation

StarBridge Communications personnel have over 30 years’ experience installing Satellite Communication Antennas worldwide in both commercial and military locations. Sizes range from 3.5 meter to 21 meter in diameter. Our staff have erected, retrofitted, decommissioned and/or relocated many major antenna manufacturer antennas. These include De-iced, Non De-iced; Triband Feeds, Tx Independent Rotation Feeds, CP/LP Switchable Feeds, High Power and Receive Only Feeds; Standard Limit Switches, Cam Switches and Proximity Switches; Size 11, Size 23 and Optical Encoders; Standard Axis-Crossover configurations to Rotary Joint Installations and Alignments. Since 2009 our team has been heavily involved in the installation of the U.S. Army’s Modernization of Enterprise Terminals (MET) Program, including the 12.2 meter fixed ground antennas, 7.2 meter transportable antennas, and the 4.8 meter antennas. Provided and managed the team of engineers and supervisors for the delivery of WIN-T SST trailer systems and the WIN-T UHST vehicles.

Integration

StarBridge has performed the onsite installation and integration of a multitude of IF, RF, Control and Monitoring subsystems. From I.F. Distribution to Variable Phase Combined High Power Amplifiers, Uplink Power Control and UPS Systems our staff have the training and experience to bring on line the most complex and diverse Satcom systems. The staff at StarBridge have been entrusted with the on-site management of large Teleport refurbishments as well as the integration of numerous High Power DBS uplink systems augmented with Monopulse Tracking subsystems. Through daily, comprehensive reports, final red-lined drawings and as-built wirelists, an important goal of StarBridge is to ease the daily work load of your engineering staff.

Testing

Michael B. Maley and his staff have over 30 years’ experience in performing verification and acceptance testing on virtually hundreds of various antennas and subsystems throughout the world. Our engineers have completed the full range of acceptance tests from ARSTRAT/DSCS, to 70 MHz through to 18 GHz. Line-up tests, Swept Frequency tests, Network Analysis and the full range of standard RF tests from Cross-pol Isolation to G/T by Radio Star. These are just a few of the measurements StarBridge regularly utilizes to characterize discreet equipment and overall Earth Station performance.

In addition to the RF related tests listed above, StarBridge performs all Functional and Acceptance tests required for all individual equipment(s) such as Upconverters, Downcoverters, Klystrons, Dehydrator Systems, De-ice Systems, LNA Systems, LNA Systems and the calibration and acceptance of various Antenna Control Systems. Each client receives a compiled, comprehensive report detailing all test results and supporting data.
